Italian Ambassador Discusses Strengthening Ties with Pakistani Prime Minister

Marilina Armellin met with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House this afternoon. According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his appreciation for Italy’s continued friendship and the recent congratulatory message from Italian leaders on his re-election. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Italy, covering various areas including education, trade, investment, and cultural exchanges.

The Prime Minister extended an official invitation to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to visit Pakistan, underscoring the importance of high-level exchanges in fortifying bilateral relations. He also acknowledged the significant role of the Pakistani diaspora in Italy as a vital link between the two nations. Ambassador Armellin assured Prime Minister Sharif of Italy’s intention to enhance cooperation and further promote strong relations between the two countries.
