Islamabad, A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, participated in the ‘Saudi Arabia-Pakistan Investment Conference’ in Islamabad today, aiming to deepen economic and strategic partnerships between the two nations.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar welcomed the delegation at the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), emphasizing the longstanding ties and shared strategic interests that anchor the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Minister Dar highlighted the SIFC’s role in streamlining investment processes and ensuring rapid decision-making to create a favorable investment environment in Pakistan. He showcased the country’s potential in sectors like agriculture, IT, and mining, inviting Saudi investors to explore mutually beneficial opportunities.
The conference featured comprehensive briefings by SIFC officials on investment opportunities in key sectors of Pakistan’s economy, with both sides engaging in detailed sessions to crystallize these opportunities. The Saudi delegation expressed significant interest in Pakistan’s improving investment ecosystem and appreciated the SIFC’s efforts in resolving legacy investment issues. They showed a keen interest in investing in critical sectors of Pakistan’s economy.
Both sides finalized a bilateral implementation mechanism to enhance coordination and execute investment-related matters, aiming to convert sovereign commitments into tangible economic outcomes. Minister Dar expressed confidence in the strengthened bonds between the two countries, anticipating significant economic growth and lasting benefits from these engagements.
