Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani Advocates for Art’s Role in National Unity at Islamabad Exhibition

Islamabad: Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, highlighted the integral role of art in fostering national unity and dialogue during the inauguration of a fundraising art exhibition at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA). He commended the artists for their efforts in enriching Pakistan’s cultural landscape and emphasized the exhibition’s role in enhancing the country’s global image.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani expressed profound appreciation for the artists whose contributions not only celebrate cultural heritage but also bridge communal divides and promote peace. He noted that the resilience and spirit of these artists bring hope and identity to the nation amid various challenges.

The exhibition, which was also attended by Governor Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, was praised for its potential to foster empathy and dialogue within the society. Gilani urged for similar initiatives to be replicated at the provincial level, particularly in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, to amplify the impact of art across Pakistan.
