Shazia Marri expresses resolve to continue BISP for poor segments

Minister for Poverty Alleviation Shazia Mari has expressed her resolve to keep the Benazir Income Support Programme continued with the same commitment when started in 2008 to support the poor and deserving women.

 

She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of dynamic registry of deserving women under BISP in Karachi on Saturday.

 

The Minister said the BISP is an internationally recognized social security programme under which many programmes have been initiated to support poor and deserving segments of the society.

 

She said the women excluded from the programme by the previous government have been included again in the programme.
