Lahore: In a significant stride toward modernizing Pakistan’s agriculture, Syngenta Pakistan orchestrated a pivotal meeting in Beijing, bringing together the Government of Punjab delegation and Syngenta Group China’s leadership. The discussions aimed at advancing agri-tech cooperation, promoting climate-resilient farming, and boosting export potential.
The meeting was spearheaded by Mr. Fu Su, President of Syngenta Group China, and Mr. Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, Punjab’s Minister of Agriculture. The two leaders focused on strengthening collaboration in key areas such as food security, climate-adaptive farming techniques, and the integration of advanced agri-tech innovations.
Central to the dialogue was the emphasis on joint efforts to enhance crop productivity and promote sustainable farming practices. The meeting underscored the need for innovative, technology-driven solutions to tackle pressing agricultural challenges.
Mr. Zeeshan Hasib Baig, General Manager of Syngenta Pakistan, and Mr. Syed M. Ali Murtaza, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, reaffirmed Syngenta’s dedication to advancing Pakistan’s food security agenda. “Our collaboration with the Punjab Government is rooted in a shared vision—empowering farmers through innovation and sustainability,” Mr. Baig stated.
The meeting, which included senior government officials and representatives from the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, marks a renewed chapter of public-private partnership between Pakistan and China. This collaboration aims to foster a more productive and climate-resilient agricultural future for the region.
