Special Investment Facilitation Council Evaluates Provincial Contributions to Foreign Investment

Islamabad: The tenth executive committee meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) convened today, chaired by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, focused on assessing the role of provinces in attracting foreign investment to Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting highlighted the significant contributions of the provinces under the auspices of the SIFC in promoting Pakistan as a viable destination for foreign investment. Officials reviewed progress reports from various ministries on projects and policy measures aimed at enhancing the investment climate.

The session also set the stage for crucial decisions expected to be made at the upcoming Apex Committee meeting. A comprehensive framework was presented to guide the council’s future initiatives, emphasizing cross-sectoral collaboration among all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other stakeholders. There was a consensus on several critical cross-sectoral areas, indicating a unified approach to boosting foreign investment.
