Lahore, April 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): Sports Board Punjab (SBP) timely steps saved Pakistan’s soft image from getting damaged. Some of the elements tried to damage the image through their propaganda that the witness team present during the record breaking ceremonies was not acknowledged by GWR.
As soon as this propaganda surfaced SBP came into action, Provincial Minister for Sports, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan along with Director General, SBP, Mr. Usman Anwar gave the facts and figures during the press conferences which brought the real picture before the public.
SBP immediately officially contacted the GWR which in written has confirmed that Pakistan created the World Record in the presence of the GWR warranted representatives and it has already uploaded the record of National Flag establishment and would also upload the other records soon.
So far during the Punjab Youth Festival 2014, 33 records have been attempted, while Provincial Minister for Sports, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan along with Director General, SBP, Mr. Usman Anwar are hopeful of attempting and creating 100 more records during the ongoing festival. GWR further said that other 32 record attempts will be registered after their official sorting out process is completed.
