Srinagar Posters in IIOJK Warn Against Selling Land to Non-Kashmiris

Srinagar, In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), posters calling for local residents to protect their heritage and future generations by not selling property to non-Kashmiris have emerged across several districts. These posters are part of a campaign to highlight concerns over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)’s policies in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, pro-freedom groups in Srinagar, Baramulla, and other areas have initiated this poster campaign to draw attention to what they describe as the anti-Kashmir agenda of the Modi-led government. The posters articulate fears of demographic changes akin to those experienced by Palestinians, urging locals to safeguard their lands against the backdrop of BJP/RSS efforts to alter the region’s demographic makeup.

The messaging warns against the perceived intentions of the Hindutva RSS/BJP regime to transplant non-Kashmiri populations into IIOJK, purportedly to dilute the indigenous Muslim majority and disrupt the social fabric. Additionally, the campaign aligns its cautionary message with the ethos of resistance and remembrance, especially in the context of Eid, advocating for solidarity with the underprivileged and the families of individuals deemed as martyrs in the conflict.

The widespread dissemination of these warnings through posters and social media platforms highlights a growing apprehension among Kashmiri groups about potential shifts in the region’s demographic and political landscape.
