Teachings of Hazrat Essa Alaihe Salam were based on peace, love, brotherhood and non violence – Minister for Information

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw Minister for Information and Culture Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that the teachings of Hazrat Essa (AS) were based on peace, love, brotherhood and non violence adding that the provincial government was making peace efforts and countering terrorism by following the teachings of Hazrat Essa (AS). Acting upon the teachings of Hazrat Essa (AS) was need of the hour for getting rid of the present critical situation, he said.

This he stated while addressing a function on the eve of Easter celebrations at Nishtart Hall Peshawar on Monday night. Minority MPA Asif Bhatti and Bishop Arnast Jacob also addressed on the occasion.

Mian Iftikhar maintained that the status and place of Hazrat Essa (AS) as a human being was very high, as he was the Prophet of Allah the Almighty by birth and he in the childhood, testified the piousness of his mother. Being a Prophet of Allah Almighty and had the miracle of re-aliving of dead body, he was the great and strong person but despite that he opted for the path of love and non violence.

The Information Minister while congratulating the Christian community on the eve of Easter, said, it was his utmost desire that there should be joy and happiness like that for ever but unfortunately we were facing international terrorism on this land for the last 30 years and the terrorists were engaged in bloodshed of the innocent people, he continued.

Despite that, he said, on the eve of this day, if the terrorists stop bloodshed and admit the writ of the government, he was ready for talks with them and pardon the killers of his only son for the cause of this land. He furthered, being followers of Bacha Khan, they always offered great sacrifices for protection of this land and its people promising that in future also, they would not hesitate to offer any sacrifice for this great cause.

The Minister added that they have not forgotten the blood of their martyres and their blood would definitely bring result in a shape of lasting peace in the Pakhtuns region. He continued that he was not afraid of death and would fight for this sacred cause till last drop of his blood. He would prefer to death but never compromise on interests of this land and its people, he concluded.
