Karachi, May 26, 2023 (PPI-OT): The 21st Provincial Council meeting of Sindh Boy Scouts Association was held in Governor House under the chairmanship of Governor Sindh and Chief Scout Commissioner Kamran Khan Tesori. Provincial Ombudsman Sindh Ijaz Ali Khan, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, Commissioner Mirpur Khas Shafiq Mahesar were present in the meeting. Commissioner Larkana Ghulam Mustafa Phal, International Commissioner Dr. Mahfouz Yar Khan, Controller of Examinations Karachi University Dr. Zafar Hussain, District Scout Commissioners Secretaries, Patron Members Life Members participated.
Addressing the meeting, Sindh Governor said that Sindh Boy Scouts is an important platform for youth training. He said that the training of the young generation is very indispensable in a welfare society, especially in natural calamities and accidents, the importance of scouts increases a lot. He said that the participation of important officers and officials in the activities of Scouts Association is welcome. Important appointments were approved in the meeting under which former Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah has been appointed as Provincial Commissioner for a period of 2 years while Syed Akhtar Mir was appointed as Honorary Secretary for 3 years.
In the meeting, Hussain Mirza was elected Honorary Khazan, Imam Bakhsh Nagor and Furqan Yousufi were elected members of the Executive Committee. Justice Retired Hasan Firoz Center Deputy Provincial Commissioner, Syed Rasool Bakhsh Shah, Abdul Aziz Odhu, Hafiz Shahabuddin Deputy Provincial Commissioner, Dr. Shadab, Professor Moin Azhar Siddiqui, and Afzal Ahmed were elected as Deputy Provincial Commissioners.
Apart from the Provincial Commissioner and Secretary, 8 members were elected to the National Council, including Muhammad Siddique Memon, Justice Hasan Firoz, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, Syed Rasool Bakhsh Shah, Professor Moin Azhar Siddiqui, Hussain Mirza and Imam Bakhsh Naguri. In the meeting, M/s Ghori Chartered Firm was appointed auditor for 2 years.
