Islamabad: Ufone proudly launched yet another handset for the first time in the Pakistani market- The HTC Salsa is an exceptionally engineered android device with a stylish uni-body design, which is built from one piece of metal that provides strength and grace. The device is a unique creation which catches the eye of gadget lovers owing to its sleek and chic appearance.
The HTC Salsa has a matte, metallic body with hues of Lilac which certainly is a change from the HTC’s usual colour ranges. One of the finest physical attributes of the handset is the camera button, boasting a soft-touch button of the sort you’d find on a standalone digital camera, with a distinct two-stage press that makes focusing and shooting easier and reduces motion blur.
There are various touch sensitive buttons at the base for home and menu as there is no track pad and the only physical buttons on the handset are the camera shutter and a dedicated Facebook button. With the HTC Salsa one can instantly share photo’s, videos and more via the Facebook button.
The home screen is tweaked to build Facebook into it, by pressing the Facebook button while looking at a photo onscreen, HTC Salsa automatically offers to upload it to Facebook.
The Salsa has rubber-finished bits on the back and on the bottom which slides off and reveals metal contacts that link the inside of the phone to the outside to ensure good signal strength. The bottom of the phone is also the access point for the battery, which slides out alongside the SIM-card and microSD memory card, all held in place by a flip-out clip.
The microSD slot has an extendable memory upto 32 GB. The Salsa is equipped with Qual-band GSM and dual-band 3G support and boasts a 3.4″ 16M-color capacitive TFT touch screen of HVGA (320 x 480) resolution.
