UN Praises Pakistan for Contributions to Global Peacekeeping Efforts

Islamabad, The United Nations has recognized Pakistan’s significant role as a major contributor of troops to global peacekeeping missions. The commendation was expressed during a recent meeting in New York between Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram, and Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the Under-Secretary-General for United Nations Peacekeeping.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between Ambassador Akram and Under-Secretary-General Lacroix focused on pivotal issues concerning Pakistan’s ongoing and prospective commitments to UN peacekeeping operations. This meeting underscored the crucial contributions Pakistan has made towards maintaining international peace and stability.
