United States Embassy Condemns Terrorist Attack in Peshat Bazaar in Bajaur

Islamabad: The United States Embassy in Pakistan strongly deplores today’s terrorist attack at the Peshat Bazaar in Bajaur. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.

As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in Islamabad yesterday, “extremists have killed women and children, blown up mosques and markets, and shown no regard for human life or dignity. . . . Joint action against al-Qaida and its affiliates will make Pakistan, America and the world safer and more secure.”

The United States stands beside the people of Pakistan in their struggle for a nation free of the threat of extremist violence.
