Karachi, U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome launched the second Investment Roadshow for clean technology in Karachi, facilitated by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The event featured fourteen clean technology companies and aimed to attract private sector investment into sustainable energy solutions, underscoring the United States’ commitment to supporting Pakistan’s renewable energy goals.
According to Embassy of the United States of America, the roadshow, organized by the USAID-funded Pakistan Private Sector Energy (PPSE) Project, has already mobilized over $30 million for clean energy, e-mobility, and energy efficiency projects. Ambassador Blome emphasized the need for a supportive investment climate to expand clean energy in Pakistan. Sindh Secretary for Environment, Dr. Nabeela Umer, praised the U.S. support for Pakistan’s energy transition, highlighting the roadshow as crucial for scaling up investment in clean energy firms within Pakistan.
