Woman Injured in Mortar Shell Blast Dies in Jammu Hospital

Jammu, A 76-year-old woman succumbed to her blast injuries in a hospital in Jammu city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the woman, Semroo Devi, was among three people injured in a mortar shell blast in Samba district last month. She died at a government hospital in Jammu.

On the other hand, Indian police arrested a woman in Kishtwar district. The Indian police, labeling the woman as a drug peddler, detained her under the stringent Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act in Kishtwar district.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom, claimed the detention of Mahfooza Begum is part of a multi-pronged strategy to address “rampant” drug abuse in the district.

Meanwhile, a woman was killed and two other people were injured when a load carrier they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell on the roadside in the Mendhar area in Poonch district.
