Jammu: The Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) has called for the restoration of statehood to Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which was revoked on August 5, 2019, by the Modi administration.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, during a press conference at the Press Club Jammu, YRS Chairman Raghuvir Singh contested the Modi regime’s assertions of normalcy in the region. He expressed concern over the worsening law and order situation, particularly in Jammu.
Singh highlighted a rise in criminal activities, including murder, robbery, drug-related issues, and mafia operations. He argued that reclaiming statehood is crucial and sees it as an essential right for the people of the region.
Further, Rajan Singh Happy, another leader from YRS, criticized the lack of action from political parties, social organizations, and politicians amidst the ongoing challenges in Jammu. He condemned the approach of the Modi regime and the current administration in the region following the revocation of Article 370.
