A delegation of scholars of Azadari Council Pakistan met with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar at the Central Police Office

Lahore, June 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar was met by a delegation of Ulemas of Azadari Council Pakistan at the Central Police Office. The delegation led by Professor Allama Zulfiqar Haider included Aamir Ali Khan, Shamsher Ali Khan, Allah Wasaya, Allama Syed Ishtiaq Kazmi and Asghar. Bukhari and other scholars were involved. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed including the security of Imambargahs, funeral processions and congregations. IG Punjab assured all possible cooperation to further improve the security of religious places, processions and congregations.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, while talking to the eminent scholars, said that the role of the eminent scholars and Sheikhs of all sects in the promotion of religious tolerance and inter-religious harmony is commendable. Thank you very much for all the donations. Dr. Usman Anwar further said that instructions have been issued to all DPOs to maintain close contact with local Ulemas, the suggestions of Ulemas, Regional Peace Committees will be taken into account during security arrangements.

All the eminent scholars in the delegation assured all possible cooperation for inter-Muslim unity and inter-ethnic harmony. Professor Allama Zulfiqar Haider said that the entire nation values the services and sacrifices of the Punjab Police to maintain peace and order.
