Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has called upon the international community to take immediate action to prevent what it describes as an impending holocaust. This comes amidst ongoing reports of killings and torture by Indian troops against the Kashmiri populace.
According to Radio Pakistan, an APHC spokesman highlighted the dire situation, noting that over one million Indian troops are currently deployed in the region, subjecting the local population to daily brutality. The spokesman emphasized the urgent necessity of halting India’s actions, which he claims are aimed at the annihilation of the Kashmiri people.
The spokesman further alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime’s proxy administration in the territory is resorting to extreme measures to enforce the Hindutva ideology. This, he warned, could lead to further escalation of violence and human rights abuses in the region.
Meanwhile, civil society activists have expressed concern over the increasing influence of Hindu nationalism, which they say is disproportionately affecting Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir. They accuse the Modi administration of systematically suppressing dissent and undermining democratic freedoms.
These activists also pointed out that religious minorities across India are being marginalized through the implementation of discriminatory laws and state-endorsed hate campaigns, which they argue are contributing to a broader climate of intolerance and unrest.
