Islamabad, During a significant meeting at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain General Shaikh Mohamed bin Isa bin Salman AI-Khalifa deliberated on bolstering bilateral military cooperation. The talks encompassed a broad range of topics including regional security, counter-terrorism, and opportunities for training exchanges.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions highlighted Pakistan’s appreciation for its deep-rooted defense, diplomatic, and economic ties with Bahrain. General Munir expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to enhance military relations with the Gulf nation, emphasizing the mutual benefits of collaboration in addressing shared security challenges and promoting regional peace and stability.
The Bahraini commander praised Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism, acknowledging the professionalism and commitment of the Pakistan Army.
