Australian High Commissioner Affirms Commitment to Pakistan’s Development

Islamabad, Neil Hawkins, the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, has articulated Australia’s commitment to fostering Pakistan’s future through strategic investments in education and trade.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in an exclusive interview with the Associated Press of Pakistan, Hawkins emphasized the importance of investing in the education of young Pakistanis, particularly those who study in Australia. He expressed hope that these students would return to Pakistan equipped with valuable skills to contribute positively to their home country’s development.

Hawkins also pointed out the focused efforts to provide scholarships that target key areas such as women in executive leadership, climate change, and agriculture. He underscored that the environmental focus, especially concerning water and agricultural sustainability, continues to be a crucial element of Australia’s support for Pakistan.
