Balochistan Chief Secretary Advocates for Enhanced Government Efficiency and Accountability

Quetta: Chief Secretary Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, presided over a crucial meeting of the Secretaries Committee on Thursday, focusing on improving administrative efficiency through various technological integrations and strict attendance policies.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting reviewed several key administrative tools, including the file tracking system, IPMS, and Pakistan Citizen Portal. The Chief Secretary emphasized the importance of timely addressing public complaints and resolving pending cases. Furthermore, he announced plans to implement a facial recognition attendance system across provincial departments to ensure precise tracking of employee attendance.

This system is expected to analyze facial features captured through high-quality cameras and match them against a registered database, thereby improving attendance accuracy. The Chief Secretary also stressed that salary disbursements would be contingent on attendance verification by Direct Drawing Officers (DDOs), signaling a move towards stricter accountability in public service.
