Board of Investment to Streamline Business Registration Process

Islamabad, Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization, and Communications, has directed efforts to simplify the registration process for new businesses, aiming to enhance the Ease of Doing Business in Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, during a special meeting focused on improving business conditions, Minister Khan outlined plans for the upcoming Pakistan Business Portal, which will integrate services provided by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) into a single online platform. This initiative is intended to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles and facilitate smoother operations for the business community.

The Minister stressed the importance of removing unnecessary regulations that impede investment and urged relevant departments to support domestic and foreign investors by reducing formalities. The discussion also included insights from the Federal Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, and senior officials, who briefed on the advancements in creating a conducive business environment through the Pakistan Business Portal and other streamlined services.
