Cadets Pass Out from Pakistan Military Academy with Honours


Abbottabad, The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul hosted the Passing Out parade for cadets of the 149th PMA Long Course, 14th Mujahid Course, 68th Integrated Course, and 23rd Lady Cadet Course. Among the graduates were 49 cadets from friendly countries, marking an international aspect of the ceremony.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the event’s Chief Guest was General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, while General Metin Gürak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, was the Guest of Honour. Both high-ranking military officials reviewed and addressed the parade, with CJCSC presenting awards to the distinguished cadets.



The prestigious Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Nauman Abdullah, and the President’s Gold Medal went to Company Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdullah Javed of the 149th PMA Long Course. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Friendly Country Senior Under Officer Fahad Bin Aqil Al Towarqi Al Fallaj from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The COAS Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Ilyas Khan of the 14th Mujahid Course. The Commandant’s Canes were awarded to Course Junior Under Officer Danish Sattar of the 68th Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Sher Bano of the 23rd Lady Cadet Course.



In his address, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza congratulated the cadets and their families on completing their training successfully. He commended the Pakistan Military Academy for its role in cultivating leadership and serving as a center of excellence. He remarked that since its inception, PMA has also trained many foreign cadets, whose outstanding performance in their respective armies underscores the professional ethos of the institution.



General Mirza highlighted that the parade exemplified the high standards of military discipline at PMA, which reflects the ethos of both the Academy and the Pakistan Army.



Upon arrival, CJCSC was received by the Commandant PMA, who accompanied him during the ceremony.
