Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her commitment to fostering stronger investment and trade relationships with Spain, highlighting significant opportunities in sectors like textiles, food processing, agriculture, and livestock during a meeting with Spanish dignitaries.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the discussions with Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Josè Antonio de Ory, and the Honorary Consul of Spain, H.E. Mr. Jalal Salahuddin, focused on enhancing bilateral ties in trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism. Sharif emphasized the provision of a secure investment environment in Punjab and welcomed the growing trade volume between Pakistan and Spain. The meeting also touched on potential investments in infrastructure and renewable energy and underscored the importance of joint efforts to strengthen mutual relations.
The Spanish Ambassador expressed a keen interest in developing a robust economic partnership with Punjab. Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and other key officials also participated in the discussions.
