Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Commits to Enhancing Workplace Safety in Punjab

Lahore, On the occasion of World Day of Safety and Health at Workplace, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif reiterated her commitment to the health, welfare, and safety of workers throughout the province. She emphasized the government’s dedication to creating a safe and healthy environment for all workers.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Chief Minister Sharif highlighted the ongoing efforts and initiatives, such as the occupational safety campaign in collaboration with private institutions, aimed at bolstering workplace safety. She stressed the importance of cultivating a culture of safety awareness across various sectors including factories, offices, construction sites, and farms.

Sharif detailed the steps being taken to amend labor laws, stating that companies neglecting employee health and safety standards would face fines. She affirmed the government’s role in ensuring the implementation of occupational safety measures and called on employers to prioritize the provision of safety gear and maintain healthy working conditions.

The Chief Minister’s message underscores the significance of proactive safety practices and training to prevent accidents and protect worker welfare across Punjab.
