Peshawar, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has inaugurated three new housing schemes in the province, aiming to provide affordable and quality residential plots. The schemes include Hangu Township, Dangran Housing Scheme Swat, and Mega City Nowshera. Hangu Township spans 8,362 kanals and includes 10,162 residential and commercial plots of various sizes. Dangram Housing Scheme covers 501 kanals with 682 plots, while Mega City Nowshera encompasses 1,750 kanals, offering 3,500 plots.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s House to mark the inauguration of these housing schemes. Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali, Member of the National Assembly Dr. Amjad, Member Provincial Assembly Mian Sharafat Ali, and other government officials attended the event. In his address, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s responsibility to provide affordable and quality housing facilities. He stated that these projects, which will be executed under a public-private partnership, are estimated to cost 21 billion rupees. He also announced that families of personnel martyred on duty would receive free five-marla plots in these schemes.
The Chief Minister further revealed plans for additional housing schemes worth 85 billion rupees, which are expected to provide quality housing and create employment opportunities. He highlighted the provincial government’s comprehensive plan to develop all sectors, aiming to increase provincial income by tapping into various talents and resources. The government intends to launch projects in housing, energy, tourism, and minerals under public-private partnerships, inviting both domestic and foreign investors to participate.
