Pakistan and China Sign MoUs to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended a significant signing ceremony in Beijing, where multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Pakistan and China. These agreements aim to deepen cooperation in various sectors including renewable energy, agricultural machinery, and economic development.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreements included a MoU for the production of solar panels, reflecting both countries’ commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Another MoU was signed for the manufacturing of Y-to-O tractors, indicating a push towards modernizing agricultural practices in Pakistan. Additionally, Pakistan’s Habib Rafiq Limited and Beijing Global Hydrogen Industries Company Limited solidified their collaboration in the hydrogen industry.

Further strengthening economic ties, an MoU was also executed between the Board of Investment of Pakistan and the Institute of Structural Economics at Peking University. This agreement is focused on the development of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), underscoring the strategic importance of the initiative in enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations.
