CICA Secretary General Meets with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister to Discuss Regional Security

Islamabad: Ambassador Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar today to discuss collaborative approaches to security and diplomacy within the CICA framework.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting underscored Pakistan’s dedication to CICA’s mission of fostering a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security landscape in Asia. Deputy Prime Minister Dar highlighted the importance of conflict prevention, addressing the root causes of disputes, and pursuing sustainable solutions for peace and development across the CICA region.

Secretary General Sarybay commended Pakistan’s active and constructive participation in CICA, briefing Deputy Prime Minister Dar on the organization’s current initiatives and strategic vision. The discussions also emphasized the role of preventive diplomacy, multilateralism, and regional cooperation in tackling emerging global challenges.
