COAS Visits Lahore Garrison, Inaugurates Jinnah Library Amid Calls for Unity and Justice

Lahore, General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), made a significant visit to Lahore Garrison where he paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and addressed current security challenges.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, during his visit, COAS Munir laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and received a detailed briefing on the operational preparedness of the formation. He commended the troops for their professionalism and dedication to the nation. In his address, General Munir condemned the recent acts of digital terrorism aimed at creating divisions between the armed forces and the Pakistani people.

He highlighted the events of May 9 as a ‘black day’ in Pakistan’s history, criticizing the orchestrated violence against state symbols and vowing to hold the perpetrators accountable. General Munir also inaugurated the Jinnah Library at Lahore Garrison, symbolizing a commitment to rebuilding and remembering the nation’s foundational values in the face of adversity.
