New Delhi, The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has publicly condemned a spate of recent attacks against Muslims in various parts of India, urging authorities to take decisive measures to prevent further violence and ensure communal harmony.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the CPI (M) Delhi unit has taken a proactive step by writing to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, demanding immediate action against a BJP leader who was recorded threatening significant violence against Muslims in Sangam Vihar, Delhi. KM Tiwari, the state secretary of the party, criticized the local police for their failure to act swiftly against the hate speech that was captured in a widely circulated video.
The party’s national leadership also voiced its concern, highlighting several disturbing incidents, including the deaths of three Muslim men in Raipur and a fatal assault in Aligarh, alongside the demolition of homes in Madhya Pradesh under contentious circumstances. These events have prompted the CPI (M) to call for nationwide protests to resist the communal strategies attributed to the BJP and its associates, especially in the aftermath of recent elections.
