Ranchi, A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, identified as Nihal Singh, tragically took his own life in the state of Jharkhand. Stationed as a driver, Singh ended his life by using his service rifle at the Kedimo post of the CRPF’s 190th battalion, located in the Vashishtha Nagar Jori police station area of Chatra district, approximately 200 kilometers from the state capital, Ranchi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the battalion’s CRPF Commandant Manoj Kumar confirmed the incident and mentioned that Singh’s family, residing in Dausa, Rajasthan, has been duly informed. Singh, who joined the CRPF in 2015 and was transferred to the 190th battalion in 2022, had recently returned from leave on February 3rd. The reasons behind Singh’s drastic step are believed to be linked to family-related issues, leading to a state of depression. “We will probe the case from all angles,” stated a police official from the Jori police station, signaling a comprehensive investigation into the unfortunate event.
