Delhi Minister Bharadwaj Slams BJP’s Kashmir Policy Following Recent Attacks

New Delhi: Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj publicly criticized the BJP-led central government’s policy in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), pointing to ongoing violence and lack of progress in the region. His remarks come in the wake of a recent attack that left five Indian troops dead in IIOJK’s Doda district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Bharadwaj condemned the BJP’s approach to Kashmir, highlighting its failure to either improve the region’s situation or fulfill promises such as resettling Kashmiri Pandits. He remarked on the deteriorating conditions since the BJP imposed Governor’s rule in 2018, emphasizing the absence of development and resettlement efforts. This critique adds to the growing discourse on the effectiveness and outcomes of the central government’s policies in the troubled region.
