Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar Set for Strategic Dialogue in China

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, is scheduled for a four-day visit to Beijing, China starting Monday, aimed at bolstering the bilateral relations between the two countries through strategic dialogues and meetings.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar will co-chair the Fifth Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi. The discussions will cover a wide range of topics including economic and trade cooperation, high-level exchanges, and initiatives related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and regional connectivity. The leaders are also set to discuss the regional geopolitical landscape and mutual cooperation in multilateral arenas. Alongside the formal dialogue, Dar is expected to meet with various Chinese officials and corporate leaders to further discuss partnerships and economic opportunities.

The visit is described by Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch as a continuation of the regular high-level exchanges that underscore the deep and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, highlighting shared interests in regional peace and economic development.
