DFP leader Shafi Rangrez passes away in IOK

Srinagar, April 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) leader, Muhammad Shafi Rangrez has passed away in Jammu. Muhammad Shafi Rangrez was vice president DFP Jammu chapter. He was hospitalized for the last few days. A condolence meeting was organized at DFP office in Srinagar wherein special prayers were held for the departed soul.

The party chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah on the occasion expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the party leader. Besides Shabbir Ahmad Shah, the meeting was attended by DFP General Secretary Muhammad Abdullah Taari, Muhammad Yasin Ataai, Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Shafi, Manzoor Ahmad and others.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah said that Muhammad Shafi Rangrez was a sincere and valour leader of freedom movement. He said that since 1960, Rangrez dedicated his life to the Kashmir cause and spent major portion of his life in jails and never compromised on his stand. The meeting also unanimously decided that a delegation would visit the deceased’s residence in Jammu to express condolence with the his family.
