Dr. Nasir Mahmood Bashir Deputy Commissioner Sialkot visits Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Sialkot, January 07, 2020 (PPI-OT): On January 7, 2020, Dr. Nasir Mahmood Bashir Deputy Commissioner Sialkot, visited The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to interact with the business community of Sialkot Industry.

President SCCI, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Malik, while chairing a high-profile meeting wherein Former Presidents, Khawaja Masud Akhtar (SI), Mr. Khawar Anwar Khawaja, Dr. Khurram Anwar Khawaja, Mr. Hanif Khan, Mr. Zahid Latif Malik, and other executive members were also present, said that the road infrastructure of Sialkot city which was developed under city package, was in a very feeble condition and required attention of District Government for its repair and reconstruction, on majority of areas.

He also said that a few development projects had initiated, the majority of which remained uncompleted. Mr. Malik highlighted that a few patchworks especially at Sublime Chowk flyover, at Saga Chowk flyover and road maintenance near Chowk Bara pather, Kashmir Road, Sahab Pura U-turn, Mubarak Pura, Gohad Pur Chowk, and Aminabad Road needed priority attention.

Mr. Khawar Anwar Khawaja derived the attention of Deputy Commissioner Sialkot toward the devastating traffic conditions, poor road infrastructure, delay in completion of development projects including Sialkot-Lahore Motorway, patchwork needed at different areas of Sialkot city. He also proposed that the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry could also assist in recommending amicable solutions for the improvement of road infrastructure and traffic conditions.

President SCCI also said that the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry was anticipating to working with District Government for a few emergent projects like Special Economic Zone, the revival of projects like Sialkot Club, provision of basic facilities to common people as well as business community of Sialkot.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nasir Mahmood Bashir said that District Government would closely work with the business community of Sialkot and would also hold regular interactive meetings with stakeholders of the city, to prioritize the tasks and work on the emergent tasks which would improve the traffic condition, repairing road infrastructure and expediting completion of development projects.
