The Election Commission of Pakistan has assured the political parties to give due consideration to their proposals to make necessary amendments in the code of conduct for upcoming general elections.
The assurance was given at a consultative meeting of political parties to discuss the code of conduct for general elections.
The meeting was held in Islamabad today with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in the chair.
Representatives of political parties gave their feedback and proposals regarding the code of conduct for general elections. The Election Commission said it will strictly implement the code of conduct and will ensure free, fair and transparent elections.
