Federal Minister to Spearhead Workshop on 5Es Framework for Pakistan’s Economic Revival

Islamabad, In a major stride towards revitalizing Pakistan’s economy, the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives is set to lead a day-long transformative workshop. The event will congregate the country’s foremost 100 experts, professionals, industry leaders, and academics to deliberate on the innovative 5Es framework. This strategic initiative aims to pivot Pakistan towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy by 2035, focusing on Exports, E-Pakistan, Environment and Climate Change, Energy and Infrastructure, and Equity and Empowerment.

According to Press Information Department, the 5Es framework emerged from the collective insights of over 1000 leading Pakistani businessmen, academics, and public leaders during the Turn Around Pakistan Summit held under the 16-month tenure of the PDM government. The workshop, slated for March 27, 2024, signifies a collaborative effort to align the public sector, private sector, academia, and civil society towards a common goal of national resurgence.

The inclusion of diverse areas such as digital transformation (E-Pakistan), sustainable development (Environment and Climate Change), foundational infrastructure (Energy and Infrastructure), and inclusive growth (Equity and Empowerment) highlights the holistic approach adopted in the 5Es framework. By leveraging expertise across these critical sectors, the initiative aims to catalyze significant economic growth and sustainable development across Pakistan.

This pioneering workshop is a testament to the government’s commitment to innovative, forward-thinking policies that encompass broad-based participation and expertise to navigate Pakistan’s challenges and opportunities towards a prosperous future.
