Federal Ministers Launch “Hurmat-e-Parcham Campaign” in Response to Attack on Pakistani Consulate in Germany

Islamabad: In a show of national solidarity and pride, Federal Ministers have initiated the “Hurmat-e-Parcham Campaign” following a recent attack on the Pakistani Consulate in Germany, where protesters removed the national flag. The campaign features ministers publicly displaying the Pakistani flag across various social media platforms, underscoring their commitment to the country’s symbol of sovereignty.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, high-ranking officials including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Power Sardar Awais Leghari, and others participated in this campaign by sharing images with the national flag and messages of reverence. The initiative aims to unite various sectors of society—from political workers to intellectuals and Pakistanis living abroad—under the common banner of national respect and pride.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar emphasized the flag’s significance as a symbol of national identity, particularly highlighting the campaign’s importance during August, the month of Pakistan’s independence. The ministers’ collective action seeks to reinforce the sanctity of the national flag as a fundamental national duty.
