Federal Tax Ombudsman Praises FBR for Swift Resolution of Taxpayer Concerns

Islamabad, Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah acknowledged the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for its prompt resolution of taxpayer issues and efficient implementation of the Federal Tax Ombudsman’s (FTO) decisions. This commendation came during a meeting with Member Inland Revenue (Operations) Mir Badshah Khan Wazir and his team at Dr. Jah’s office, where they discussed various matters related to taxpayer concerns.

According to Press Information Department, Dr. Jah commended the FBR for its quick response to taxpayer problems, demonstrating a proactive approach to addressing public concerns. Member IR (Operations) Mir Badshah Khan Wazir expressed his gratitude for the Ombudsman’s recognition and assured him that the FBR would continue to prioritize the resolution of taxpayer issues. He also mentioned that the FBR’s revenue generation performance would further improve under the FTO’s guidance.

During the meeting, Dr. Jah presented certificates and shields to Member IR (Operations) and other officials, including Chief Refunds Muhammad Imtiaz, Chief Formations Mirza Nasir Ali, Secretary Revenue Budget Bilal Zamir, and Secretary IT Ehsan Ullah Mehsood. These awards recognized their contributions to efficiently addressing taxpayer concerns and implementing the FTO’s decisions.

The collaboration between the Federal Tax Ombudsman and the Federal Board of Revenue aims to ensure that taxpayers’ issues are resolved promptly and with care, reinforcing public trust in the tax system.
