Finance Minister Applauds FBR for Exceeding Revenue Collection Goals

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb lauded the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for surpassing its revenue collection target for the fiscal year 2023-24. During his visit to the FBR headquarters, the Finance Minister, along with senior board members, celebrated this achievement, which saw the collection of Rs. 9311 billion, exceeding the set target.

According to Press Information Department, the Finance Minister expressed his confidence in the FBR’s ability to continue playing a crucial role in achieving the government’s fiscal objectives. The Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Mr. Ali Pervez Malik, who joined the meeting via video link, also praised the FBR’s team for their performance despite numerous challenges. The event highlighted the government’s commitment to further strengthening the FBR’s capabilities in revenue collection, digitization, and economic documentation.
