Finance Minister Aurangzeb Advocates Stronger International Business Ties in Energy Sector

Islamabad: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met with top executives from international energy firms, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to fostering collaborations and attracting foreign investment to bolster the nation’s energy sector.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting included discussions with Mehmet Celepoglu, Executive Vice President Oceania and South Asia of PARCO, and Torbjörn Törnqvist, CEO and co-founder of Gunvor Group. Both firms are actively involved in Pakistan’s oil and energy industries and presented updates on their ongoing projects in the country.

Senator Aurangzeb emphasized the importance of international partnerships, highlighting the government’s current initiatives in energy reforms, state-owned enterprise modifications, and privatization efforts aimed at enhancing the efficiency and capability of Pakistan’s energy sector.

The Finance Minister expressed appreciation for the delegates’ continued support and investment in Pakistan, reaffirming the government’s dedication to developing sustainable and profitable relationships with global investors.
