Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, engaged in pivotal discussions with Mr. Antti Partanen, a representative of FinnFund, to probe potential investment avenues within Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the dialogue centered on enhancing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and leveraging Pakistan’s improved economic framework underpinned by recent macroeconomic stability and structural reforms. Key areas discussed included the digitalization of the Federal Board of Revenue, energy sector advancements, reforms in State-Owned Enterprises, and privatization efforts aimed at propelling Pakistan towards an export-led economic growth model.

Mr. Partanen detailed FinnFund’s investment profile, expressing a strong interest in sectors such as digital infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture, and forestry, driven by Pakistan’s demographic dynamics and growing workforce. He conveyed FinnFund’s readiness to intensify investments across diverse segments of the Pakistani economy. In response, Minister Aurangzeb assured of the government’s dedication to cultivating a welcoming and supportive environment for international investors.
