Five Customs Officials Killed in Ambush During Operation in Pakistan

Islamabad, Today, five officials from the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Customs in Peshawar were killed in an ambush during an operation on Daraban Road near the village of Sagguu, district Dera Ismail Khan.

According to Press Information Department, the officials were engaged in an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) when they were attacked by unknown assailants with automatic weapons. The deceased are identified as Intelligence Officer Aslam Khan, Havaldar Inayat Ullah Khan, Havaldar Akbar Zaman, Sepoy Iftikhar Alam, and Sepoy Shahab Ali. The attack occurred around 03:30 PM and resulted in all five officials being killed in the line of duty. The Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation and the Federal Board of Revenue have expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the slain officials and reiterated their commitment to continue serving the nation despite the challenges.
