Global Day of Parents Celebrates ‘The Promise of Playful Parenting’

Islamabad, Today marks the observance of the Global Day of Parents, a day dedicated to recognizing the enduring commitment and sacrifices of parents worldwide in nurturing and supporting the development of their children.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the United Nations General Assembly established the Global Day of Parents in 2012 to honor parents across the globe for their lifelong sacrifice in fostering the growth of future generations. This year’s theme, “The Promise of Playful Parenting,” highlights the importance of play in healthy childhood development and the critical role parents play in ensuring a loving and supportive environment for their children.

The day serves as a reminder of the vital contributions parents make towards the wellbeing of society by raising well-rounded individuals capable of contributing positively to their communities and the wider world.
