Government Negotiates with Jamaat e Islami Leaders in Rawalpindi

Islamabad: A government delegation is currently in discussions with leaders of Jamaat e Islami at the site of their sit-in in Rawalpindi, signaling efforts to address the concerns raised by the political group.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the government’s negotiation team includes Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Prime Minister’s Media Coordinator Badr Shahbaz Waraich. The Regional Police Officer (RPO) and Commissioner of Rawalpindi are also participating in the talks, indicating the high level of engagement from both security and administrative branches.
