Governor seeks role of elected representatives to resolve masses’ problems

Karachi: Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on Tuesday called upon the elected representatives to ensure contact with the masses at all levels so as to resolve their problems, as people from far flung areas cannot reach the ministers and high government officials.

The Sindh Governor said this while talking to elected representatives belonging to different districts in Sindh, who called on him at Governor House.

He stressed on result-oriented efforts to provide assistance to the flood affected people.

Government, philanthropists and welfare organisations are making all out efforts in this regard, he added. However, there is need for the elected representatives to make concerted efforts to make and arrange these reliefs and rehabilitation work in the right direction, Dr. Ebad said.

He also called upon the elected representatives to play a vibrant role with the cooperation of people to improve law and order to ensure protection of life and properties of the people.
