Gwadar: In a significant preparatory meeting led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tabish Ali Baloch, Gwadar officials laid out comprehensive plans for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations on August 14, focusing on a city-wide display of patriotism and unity.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting convened under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman, brought together key district officials including District Council Chief Officer Muhammad Afzal Baloch, Tehsildar Chingiz Baloch, and other significant personnel. The agenda centered on elaborate flag hoisting, lighting, and decorative arrangements at government buildings, key landmarks, and public roads to foster a festive atmosphere.
Detailed discussions also covered the organization of speech competitions and other cultural events to engage the community, with a special emphasis on ensuring robust participation from Gwadar’s citizens. Additional measures such as enhanced medical facilities were ordered by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baloch, directing the District Health Officer and the Medical Superintendent of the District Headquarters Hospital to be fully prepared for any emergency during the celebrations.
This meeting marks a crucial step in ensuring that Independence Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and proper public involvement in Gwadar.
