Hindutva organization holds screening of controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’ in Jammu

Jammu, May 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hindutva organization Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised a special screening of the controversial film ‘The Kerala Story’ in Jammu. The VHP arranged the screening of the movie for girls in Jammu. The move is being seen by many people as an attempt to stoke communal tension in the occupied territory.

‘The Kerala Story’ in its trailer claimed that 32,000 women from Kerala had gone missing after being forcibly converted to Islam joined the militant group ISIS. This statement triggered a heated political debate and many leaders questioned the veracity of the claim. Later, the makers withdrew the figure and called the movie the story of three women from Kerala, in its trailer description.
