Indian Army Accused of Militancy Involvement in Jammu and Kashmir by Farooq Abdullah

Jammu: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has alleged that the Indian Army is engaged in militancy activities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), contributing to human rights abuses and escalating drug trafficking in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Farooq Abdullah, speaking at a press conference, claimed that the presence of the Indian army has exacerbated the plight of innocent Kashmiris in the occupied territory, depriving them of their basic human rights. The situation in the valley is not only worsening, but also includes the issue of drug trafficking, which he attributed to military involvement.

Farooq Abdullah raised questions about the efficacy of the heavy military deployment in IIOJK, given the ongoing terrorism and daily casualties in the valley, holding the Indian army accountable. He criticized previous Indian claims of Pakistani commandos in the valley as baseless, asserting that the real issue stems from within the Indian military forces. Furthermore, he accused the Modi government of state terrorism, which he believes is now evident to the public.
