Indian Police Detain Suspect in Connection with Pilgrim Bus Shooting in Rajouri

Jammu, Indian police have detained a suspect from the Band Rahi area in Rajouri district, linked to a recent attack on a bus carrying Hindu pilgrims in the region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the detained individual, identified as Hakeem, is allegedly involved in the June 9 shooting incident that targeted a bus in Reasi district, resulting in the death of nine pilgrims and injuries to 41 others. The police claim Hakeem’s arrest is part of a broader operation that has seen approximately 150 arrests in relation to the attack.

The ongoing investigation aims to apprehend all those connected with the incident as law enforcement continues to tighten security in the region.
